The vineyards of Puklavec are located in the hills of Jerusalem Ormoz, on the border with Austria and Hungary. The climate and soil are ideal for viticulture, Jerusalem is on the same latitude as Burgundy. Slovenia is increasingly in the spotlight and has a rich wine history.
The Puklavec family is since the 30s of the last century, active in the industry, especially through the local cooperative. Together with the members of the cooperative brand Puklavec & Friends is expanded. The wines won prizes in several competitions, including Word Decanter Wine Awards and the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles.
The Sauvignon blanc & Furmint has an clear bright yellow appearance.
On the nose it has aromas of lemon, green apples and grass.
The palate shows nice full-bodied flavours of lemon green apples, nectarines.
I think the Sauvignon blanc is overruling the Furmint if they would make an Frumint & Sauvignon blanc it can be very interesting on the palate.
